WDCB presents live jazz on most Thursdays at Adelle's. No cover! Midnight Blue plays a blend of jazz, blues and Latin music. The name - and to some extent the sound of the group - were inspired by Kenny Burrell's 1964 Blue Note album "Midnight Blue". The focus of the group is a blend of the sound of the Blue Note record label in the early 1960s with echoes of Memphis, New Orleans and Latin America. It is a trio with Steve Hashimoto on bass and Heath Chappell on drums, but the group performs as a guitar/bass /drums trio or a bass/guitar duo as well. Upcoming Schedule 11/01 - Paul Abella Trio 11/08 - Chris Greene/Tom Muellner Duo 11/15 - Midnight Blue Duo featuring Michael Kent Smith and Steve Hashimoto 11/22 - Thanksgiving 11/29 - Chris Bernhardt Duo |
